Today started with breakfast tacos and ended with pineapple, and in between I dreamt about jungle creatures and wondered if I’d ever know their names:  black soaring birds with bat-shaped wings, long turquoise lizard tails, airy plants abundant in cactus trees, xl hummingbirds (yellow, orange, and red birds too), and butterflies, papery and laden like coffee filters.... strange to me, but perhaps not strange at all.
